Update

Satawalese translation work started

In the beginning of November, translation advisor Cameron Fruit worked with a team of translators on Yap, who are starting Bible translation in Satawalese. Here is what he writes: “Richard Ligiteiwel is using a new HP mini-notebook computer to adapt the first version of the gospel of Matthew using the program AdaptIt. He picked up the main ideas of AdaptIt rapidly and is going ahead with it successfully. He is experienced in translation with computers from his work in education, translating school materials into Satawalese. He has also been organizing our meetings together. The entire group consists of Richard and his wife Manuelina, Sabino (a senator), Thomas (a retiree) and a young man named Noah. They approved a process for the translation so as soon as Richard finishes a portion of his adaptation, they can begin making revisions.”
