Why don’t they come to church?

How reconciliation and Bible study in the own language revived church attendance on Nukumanu

Nukumanu Bible translator Edmond Teppuri noticed that church attendance on Nukumanu was getting less, and he raised this issue with the church leadership team of the main church. They asked if he had a suggestion, and he suggested to have a week of reconciliation. As a result of that week, three separate Bible studies were started, studying Biblical topics, and only using the Nukumanu New Testament as their Biblical text. Church attendance has now drastically increased.
Edmond also confirmed that all NT readings in the Anglican church continue to be read only in the Nukumanu language, even by long-term residents who originate from neighboring Lord Howe atoll.
